Therapy with Young Children
Play is the language of children and toys are their words. Young children lack the ability to express their thoughts and feelings so we use play to help them express themselves. Our therapists are skilled at connecting to children using play therapy techniques, behavior modification and talk therapy according to their developmental level. Additionally, we provide support and resources for parents who are experiencing difficulties or concerns regarding their children.
Our state of the art facility includes a one-way mirror so parents can observe their children’s therapy without being observed.
Effective and consistent support from family members is an important part of family member’s progress. Often, with couples are struggling, or if a child is suffering, the entire family is profoundly affected. Parents and children may benefit from therapy involving the entire family. The child’s world is the family and anything that changes in the child will also impact the family dynamic and vice versa. Therapy involving some or all family members will provide practice and insight into how families can remain loving and connected when developing new strategies to improve family life.
